The services provided by RWI are a cost-effective alternative to obtaining information on regulatory policy decisions historically provided by legal departments, trade publications, and direct participation in agency proceedings. RWI's services are tailored to meet the specific regulatory needs of each client.

The work performed by RWI has consisted mainly of monitoring the PSC's electric, gas and telecommunications deregulation proceedings and related legislation as well as tracking and monitoring tariff changes in the gas, electric and telecommunications industries. RWI has also done research at the New York courts, local county clerks' offices, the New York State Library and New York State Archives.

RWI's work in the electric industry has included advising New York municipalities on the electric utility rate/restructuring proceedings, tracking legislation involving the electric industry, and review and analysis of PSC policies regarding the electric industry.

With respect to the telecommunications industry, RWI's work has also included extensive tracking and review of the filings in the Bell Atlantic 271 proceeding and the various phases of the network elements proceeding as well as daily monitoring of tariff filings with the PSC and tracking related PSC tariff orders. In addition, RWI has worked with CLECs and resellers in preparing CPCN applications and tariffs.
